Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years throughout Asia to prevent, treat and cure many diseases.
Not only for physical ailments, but also impairments of the mind and emotions, is this therapy excellent.
Acupuncture works by stimulating the Qi of the body. Qi is the life force or "energy" that flows through every living thing, and whenever there is an imbalance it is because the Qi is "blocked".
I use the highest quality needles on the market today. They are Seirin needles made in Japan, sterile and single use.
Acupuncture is recognised by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) as effective in treating a wide range of conditions.
Below are some of the health conditions that acupuncture can effectively treat:
Allergies | Migraines and headaches l Stress Anxiety Depression Grief |Shock |Addiction | Smoking cessation | Colds and flu Sore throat | Cough | Fatigue | Arthritis and joint problems | Musculoskeletal disorders | Insomnia | Menopause Fertility and reproductive problems Menstrual cycle irregularities and premenstrual syndrome | Libido problems Diarrhoea | Constipation | Crohn's disease/ulcerative colitis | Nausea and vomiting Heartburn | Flatulence | Urinary problems Trigeminal neuralgia and facial paralysis | Asthma | Numbness and tingling in the body | Toothache | Eye problems | Dizziness and vertigo | Hypertension | Recovery after surgery | Blood sugar regulation (diabetes, insulin resistance etc. ) | Symptoms of chemotherapy | Peripheral neuropathy and much more | Sciatic pain
Patients experience a variety of sensations during an acupuncture treatment. Thanks to the very fine needles I use and the gentle techniques I apply, patients' sensations vary from a slight tingling to a pulsating, warming, feeling a dull ache or a small pinch that quickly dissipates to no reaction at all.
Acupuncture is above all a very calming experience and some patients achieve such deep relaxation that they fall asleep during the treatment.
